Class Memories From 1967

Billy Gutierrez wowed me with his antics. In '67 it was a sin to have hair down to your collar(Billy), and plaid shirts(Billy), and a new Mustang(Billy), and Marlea McCartney(Billy). He was Mr. Rovnak's favorite pet! Billy had balls!
Class Clowns Posted: 01/31/2009
The Dairy Queen and Howard Johnson's, where me, Brad, Guy and Ronnie had 30 coffee fillups each one night,(one very long night.)
Cool Hangouts Posted: 01/31/2009
The Shadows of Knight(g-l-o-r-i-a), the Human Beingz, the New Hudson Exit, Pied Pipers, and our very own Rusty Johnston. Slow dances with Sherry Dubinsky and Lani Istnick.

The first time I ever felt real, HOT, passion was when Karen Hartenstein and I shared each other's lips one night against her Dad's car. I don't know if I ever recovered. And I don't want to. Karen, you were REALLY hot...ouch!
First Times Posted: 02/02/2009
Joanie Johnson, Marlea McCartney, Molly DeHetre, Marcia Axtman, Jackie Smith, Chris Marsden, Gloria LaRocca, Carol Moll, Zoe Baum, Toni Jerome, Cindy Wilson, and my long-lost love, Carol Rosenberger. (Vickie Baum, I'll always love you.)

I was rehearsing as Lil' Abner. Got yanked because the coach said I couldn't do both. No loss, Randy was the better hunk. He was great! Really enjoyed rehearsing with Molly DeHetre. We once debated the controversial "bare ass" of Charlton Heston in "Planet of the Apes." She won, of course. She was brilliantly beautiful!

BHS was literally a 5 iron from my backyard for 18 years. I saw each graduating class from 1955-1967. 99.9% of all students were ladies and gentlemen. Coaches were wise and enthusiastic. There can be no finer community or high school in America! Students-carpe diem!

I spent most of my time on the bench at basketball games. Don't feel sorry for me. I got to spend the few hours afterwards enjoying the company of Barb Anstrom. Talk about a blonde Swedish bombshell! And a brain, too! Barb, I did not get enough of you! Thanks for being such a good, faithful friend.

If I had only one teacher in High School, it would have been Miss Marjorie Atkinson. She taught me more about hard work and honesty than I ever learned in my lifetime. All those Latin derivatives came in handy in journalism class. You could not put one over on Miss Atkinson. She goes to the head of my class! Thanks Miss Atkinson. You were the one who taught me perseverance. I will always remember our little talk. It changed my life.
